Contents include blank articles of agreement (185a-b), accounts, ca. 1800-ca. 1823; a printed Opinion concerning the right of the Patent theatres to perform plays, 1808 (185f); a draft of the Committee's answers to Mr. Dibdin's proposition, ca. 1816 (185g); 2 drafts of a letter to Messrs. Bolton and Watt proposing the installation of gas lights on the rebuilding of the theatre, ca. 1810 (185h-i); a notebook [in R.W. Elliston's hand] listing the "continued engagements of the present company who are not under articles", i.e. of authors, composers painters ... and the officers to be appointed, 1819 (185j); notices of the auction of 2 private boxes (185k), January 25, 1825; and a draft statement by the Committee criticising the expenditure of the theatre (185l).
